Rockport - Jones River Salt Marsh

I’ve said it before … the gift that just keeps giving!

I decided to focus the weekend on sketching along Jones River, it’s islands and the surrounding salt marsh. And what a special weekend it has been … yesterday morning was misty light, vivid green grasses, so many egrets, and the reflections … I have never seen the water so still.

And if paddleboarding isn’t peaceful and chilled enough, I thought I’d add some sketching to my time on the board ! It was a little tricky at first but It worked out well in the end.

Sunday was a completely different day with blue skies and a breeze coming off the ocean.

What a weekend … reconnecting with good friends in Pocasset on Friday, painting along Jones River and an afternoon of reading on the beach. Not too shabby!
