Jessica and I, with her gorgeous pup Nola, try to meet up a couple times a year in Carroll, New Hampshire, half way between our homes in Montreal and Boston. This year we changed things up because, as you all know, I am not going anywhere this summer! So she drove the 5 hours from Montreal to Rockport last weekend arriving just in time for a sunset dinner.

Jess and I know each other from our Halifax days just before I made my way to Scotland to start my academic studies in Architecture. We lost touch for a while, probably when life took over, but fortunately crossed paths in 2016 in Cape Cod all thanks to Facebook!

And recently, I came across a card she sent to me before visiting me in Edinburgh in 1989/1990 - what a blast from the past!

It has been very special reconnecting over the last 8 years, and again like all true friends you pick up where you left off. I do have to include one further photo I took with her beautiful daughter Eden when they visited me in Manhattan weeks before the shut down in 2020. I truly think this photo is quintessentially us.

And here we are today in Rockport Massachusetts. I'll share a collection of photos from our weekend ventures, including visits to Cape Hedge Beach, Jones River, Wingaersheek Beach, a concert at our favorite Rockport venue, cocktails on The Cove terrace and more.
